Why are serial numbers destroyed on some of your parts kits?

Why are serial numbers destroyed on some parts kits on your site?

Our parts kits come from a number of sources including distributors, private collections, and governmental auctions around the world. Some suppliers have obliterated serial numbers for various reasons prior to their transfer to us, including--but not limited to--compliance with legal requirements for destruction prior to sale.

Does EveryGunPart destroy serial numbers on parts kits?

No. EveryGunPart receives, packages and sells parts kits as they came to us. They are sold as-is, and we do not alter them in any way. EveryGunPart is not responsible for how parts kits are destroyed or decommissioned.

Is there a way of obtaining the original serial number of a parts kit I wish to order?

No. No history of prior ownership or use of our parts kits is obtained by EveryGunPart.

Is there something wrong with these parts kits?

The obliteration of the serial number has no functional effect on any given part.
